- Comprehensive Combined In Clinic Adult Autism and ADHD Assessment
About the Package
Combined Adult Autism and ADHD Assessment - In Clinic
At Brilliant Minds Psychology, we offer a distinctive and affirming approach to Autism and ADHD assessments, guided by a gold standard assessment framework. Our goal is to illuminate the unique cognitive landscapes of individuals, recognising and celebrating their diverse strengths and qualities.
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) is not merely viewed as a developmental disability, but as a unique neurodivergent journey that encompasses both children and adults. It manifests in distinct ways, such as difficulties in social communication, interactive patterns, repetitive behaviors, and sensory sensitivity. Rather than focusing solely on challenges, we appreciate these characteristics as valuable expressions of individuality, contributing to the richness of human experience.
Similarly, ADHD is understood not just as a neurodevelopmental disorder but as a dynamic expression of cognitive diversity. The persistent patterns of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity are acknowledged within a framework that values the uniqueness they bring to an individual's life. We recognise that ADHD often coexists with ASD, and our assessments aim to provide a holistic understanding by exploring both aspects simultaneously.
Our commitment is to create a neuro-affirming space where differences are celebrated, strengths are highlighted, and challenges are approached with understanding and support. By embracing the distinctive qualities of each individual, we strive to empower them in navigating their homes, learning environments, workplaces, and community interactions with confidence and resilience.
A dual assessment will provide an understanding of the cognitive strengths and areas of need, as well as provide a pathway for supports and necessary recommendations. Please note that this assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD.
