CHILD AND YOUTH ADHD ASSESSMENT THE COGNITIVE & BEHAVIOURAL ASSESSMENT PACKAGE ONE
Our child assessment package is specifically designed for children aged 6 years and older.
If your child is experiencing difficulties with concentration, inattention, and/or hyperactivity at home and school, we recommend our 'Cognitive and Behavioral Assessment.' This assessment focuses on diagnosing ADHD and includes an evaluation of general intellectual ability and an assessment of executive functions. It provides valuable insights into your child's cognitive strengths and weaknesses, along with recommendations for school and learning support. However, please note that this assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis of ADHD.
Please be aware that school visits are not included in this package.
Here is a breakdown of the assessment sessions included in this package:
Session 1: Parent/Guardian Only Intake Session (1 Hour)
This session is dedicated to gathering information from the parent/guardian. No children are required to attend. Rating scales and relevant questionnaires will be provided to parents/guardians and teachers.
Session 2: Cognitive Assessment with Child - WISC-V (2 Hours)
This session involves conducting a cognitive assessment with the child.
Session 3: Attention Assessment with Child:
For ages 6-7 years: Test of Everyday Attention-2 (TEA-Ch2) (1 Hour) OR For ages 8 years and older: Conners Continuous Performance Test (CPT-3) and Conners Auditory Test of Attention (CATA) (1 Hour)
Session 4: Parent/Guardian Feedback Session (1 Hour)
In this session, the results and findings of the assessment will be discussed with the parent/guardian.
A comprehensive written report is included as part of this package. Please note that the report writing process typically takes two to three weeks. However, if the assessment is conducted with a Provisional Psychologist, the report writing turnaround time is four weeks.
