PACKAGE 1: ADULT COGNITIVE ASSESSMENT
The Adult Cognitive Assessment is a diagnostic assessment to identify an Intellectual Disability (ID) and accompany severity level. This assessment is recommended for NDIS support and review, higher educaiton support and work-ready placement support. For adults and older adolescents (aged 16-90 years), the WAIS-IV is the cognitive assessment used to evaluate their learning profile, strengths, and weaknesses. When there is suspicion of intellectual impairment, the WAIS-IV is often the preferred assessment.
This assessment does not assess for ADHD, Autism or executive functioning difficulties.
This package includes the following:
A comprehensive report with recommendations will be provided. Please be aware that the report writing process takes approximately 2-3 weeks. However, if the assessment is booked with a provisional psychologist, the report writing may take up to 4 weeks. It's important to note that all assessments conducted by provisional psychologists are reviewed and signed off by a fully registered psychologist.
The total cost of the assessment is based on 7 hours of clinician time, which includes the time spent on conducting the assessment and writing the report
This package includes the following:
- Session 1: Intake Session - A series of quesitonnaires are sent out to further assess adaptive living skills, disability severity level and social skills (1 hour).
- Session 2: Cognitive Testing using WAIS-IV (2 hours)
- Session 3: Feedback (1 hour)
