Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) QCAA
This package is suitable for Queensland students in Years 10, 11 and 12 only.
The Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) QCAA Package is suitable for Queensland students in Years 10, 11 and 12 completing their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) who require evidence for eligibility for support and adjustments in completing external examinations.
“AARA are provided to minimise barriers for a student whose disability, impairment, medical condition or other circumstances affect their ability to read, respond to or participate in assessment”. (Queensland Government, 2022).
If a student has a cognitive, physical, sensory and/or social/emotional difficulty or disability, they may be eligible for support through the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA). Additional eligibility criteria for a AARA is noted as illness, misadventure or unforeseen circumstance where the student has no control, such as an accident or death of a family member.
Examples of eligible adjustments are extra time, rest breaks, alternate format papers, assistance, assistive technology (such as computer), a reader, and/or a scribe.

The Assessment Breakdown/How It Works
Session 1: Parent/Guardian and Student Intake Session
All supporting evidence is required at this session including diagnosis reports, school reports and any documentation that is relevant to assist the application.
Report
A detailed written report, in the required format and headings supplied by QCAA, is provided as part of this package. Please note there is a two to three week turn around for report writing.

This assessment is based on 3 hours of clinical time.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
This assessment is not covered by Medicare. If you have private health insurance, please contact your provider to see how much they can cover for you.
The private health code for assessment is 100.
