Brilliant Buddies - LEGO® Social Skills Group
Does your child love playing with LEGO®?Our LEGO® Brilliant Buddies, Social Skills Group is a fun and engaging program designed to help children develop essential social, communication, and motor skills through structured play. Led by experienced professionals, this group provides a supportive environment where children can build friendships while enhancing key developmental skillsWhy Join Our LEGO® Group? ✅ Enhances Social & Communication Skills Through guided activities, children practice using clear language, non-verbal communication (eye contact, body language), and essential social interactions like asking for help and seeking clarification. ✅ Supports Occupational Therapy Goals Playing with LEGO® isn’t just fun—it’s also a great way to develop fine motor coordination, hand strength, and dexterity. Children engage in bilateral coordination (using both hands together), hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness, all of which are crucial for handwriting, dressing, and other daily tasks. ✅ Encourages Collaboration & Problem-Solving Children work together to plan, build, and create, developing teamwork, patience, and resilience while learning how to take turns, share, and negotiate with peers. ✅ Focus & Attention The group promotes task initiation, sustained attention, and the ability to complete projects independently and in a group, helping children build confidence in their ability to start and finish activities. ✅ Fosters Emotional Regulation & Flexibility - Through play, children learn to manage frustration, adapt to new ideas, and navigate social challenges, which supports self-regulation and emotional resilience. ✅ Builds Confidence & Friendships As children successfully engage with peers and complete their LEGO® creations, they gain confidence in their social interactions and form meaningful connections with others in a low-pressure, supportive setting.
