Package 3: Intellectual Ability Assessment
This package is available from 4 years of age.
The 'Intellectual Ability Assessment' is a diagnostic assessment to identify an intellectual disability and accompanying severity level. This assessment isrecommended for NDIS support and reviews, school support and specialist school entry.
This package is aimed at individual's suspected of having an intellectual impairment or to gain a sense of overall cognitive ability. This package includes acognitive assessment and an assessment of adaptive functioning. A series of questionnaires are sent to parents/guardians and teachers.
This package includes:
Session 1: Parent/Guardian Only Intake Session (1 Hour) - No children are to attend the intake session.
Session 2: Cognitive Assessment with Child - WPPSI-IV or WISC- V (2 Hours)
Session 3: Parent/Guardian Feedback Session (1 Hour)
A written report is provided as part of this package. Please note that there is a two to three week turn around for report writing. There is a four week turnaround for report writing if the assessment is completed with a Provisional Psychologist. You will be provided with this information at the time of booking an assessment.
Based on 7 hours of clinician time, inclusive of a written report.A $500 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking
Please note that this assessment does not include an assessment of ADHD or executive functioning. If screening of these symptoms is requested, additional costs will be incurred.
