Adult Assessment Package 1
- The Adult Cognitive Assessment
About the Package
The Adult Cognitive Assessment
The Adult Cognitive Assessment is a supportive diagnostic tool designed to explore the diverse cognitive landscape of individuals, aiming to identify Intellectual Disabilities (I.D) and determine their accompanying severity levels. This assessment is not just about identifying challenges but also about recognizing and celebrating unique cognitive strengths.
If there's a suspicion of intellectual impairment, or if additional insights are sought for NDIS support reviews, higher education support, or work-ready placement assistance, the Adult Cognitive Assessment becomes a valuable resource. By employing the WAIS-IV, a cognitive assessment tailored for adults and older adolescents (16-90 years), we seek to provide a comprehensive understanding of an individual's learning profile.
Our approach goes beyond categorising individuals solely based on challenges; we strive to illuminate the rich tapestry of their cognitive abilities. This assessment is a tool for empowerment, shedding light on both strengths and areas for growth. By recognizing the unique learning styles and capabilities of each individual, we aim to foster a neuro-affirming environment that encourages personal development and meaningful engagement in various aspects of life.
A series of questionnaires are sent out to further assess adaptive living skills, disability severity level and social skills.
This assessment does not assess for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder or executive functioning difficulties.
