Clinic Fees and Rebates

In accordance with our commitment to providing transparent and up-to-date information, please see our revised clinic fees, effective from November 1, 2023. These updated fees reflect our dedication to delivering high-quality healthcare services to our valued patients. Please find below the comprehensive list of our clinic fees for your reference:
Note: Our ongoing-fees remain below the APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees for 2024-2025, specifically standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fees, which are set at $311.

Clinical Psychology Services

Methods to Rebates

Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP): (Psychology Only) If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you're eligible for rebates for up to ten sessions per year. Initially, you'll receive six sessions, followed by a review with your GP for an additional four. We conveniently process rebates on the same day as your appointment. Please bring your plan to your first session or have your GP fax it to us in advance. Please be aware of the applicable gap fee. Additionally, it's important to note that Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for late cancellations or missed appointments. Mental Health Care Plans are specifically applicable to Psychology therapy appointments. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our clinic for further assistance. Private Health InsuranceWe accept private health insurance if you are not wanting to obtain a referral from a medical professional. To see how much your private health company can cover, you will need to give them a call and find out. Additionally, please check with your private health fund as they may offer rebates for Occupational Therapy or Psychology under ‘Extras’. Medicare rebates are not available if using private health. NDIS The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability. Early intervention supports can also be provided for eligible people with disability or children with developmental delay. To check if you are eligible click here go to www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible - If you meet the criteria and you would like to become an NDIS participant, call 1800 800 110 and ask to make an Access Request. We accept NDIS Self Managed and Plan Managed clients. We are not an NDIS registered provider. Chronic Disease Management Initiative (formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care)1) For patients with a chronic or terminal medical condition referred by their GP2) Up to 5 allied health services (in a calendar year)3) On the completion of treatment the treating practitioner will provide the referrer with a report of thetreatment provided and recommendationsIt is advisable to utilise these sessions with other allied health professionals, as it may be the only rebate they can offer Helping Children with AutismUnder the Helping Children with Autism program, a child can be referred by a consultant paediatrician orpsychiatrist for the following allied health services: - up to four diagnostic / assessment services from psychologists, speech pathologists, occupationaltherapists, audiologists, optometrists, orthoptists or physiotherapists to assist the referringpractitioner with diagnosis or to contribute to a child’s treatment and management plan (for a childunder 13 years of age).- up to twenty treatment services from psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists,audiologists, optometrists, orthoptists or physiotherapists (for a child under 15 years of age, providinga treatment and management plan is in place before their 13th birthday).

Clinician Time Fees: Letter Writing & Phone Calls

At Brilliant Minds Psychology, all time spent with a clinician, including appointments, phone calls, emails, and preparation time, is charged. This ensures we can provide the highest level of care and attention to each client.- Scheduled Appointments: All in-person, phone, and online sessions are billable.- Additional Time: Time for follow-up tasks, report writing, or case preparation outside of appointments will also be charged.- Pre-scheduled Communication: Any communication such as email correspondence outside of regular sessions must be arranged in advance and will incur a charge.
For transparency, all charges will be communicated to you in advance, and our admin team is available to answer any questions about billing.
