At times, we may not be the right fit for your needs or may be unable to respond immediately, particularly in urgent situations. To support you in accessing the right help when you need it, we’ve compiled a list of resources that offer reliable information, guidance, and support across a range of mental health and wellbeing areas.

In the case of an emergency: Our clinic is not an emergency or crisis response service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger or requires urgent care, please contact Triple Zero (000) or attend your nearest emergency department. For after-hours mental health support, you may consider contacting Lifeline (13 11 14) or your local mental health crisis service.
KID'S HELP LINE
Kid's Helpline is Australia's only free (even from a mobile), confidential 24/7 online and phone counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Qualified counsellors at Kid's Helpline are available anytime and for any reason. Resources are also available on their website for kids, teens, young adults, parents and carers and schools and teachers.

Lifeline
Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Lifeline encourages any person in Australia who is contemplating suicide, experiencing emotional distress or caring for someone in crisis to call, text or chat. Regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. Lifelines are trained crisis supporters who are ready to listen, support, and help work through what is on your mind.

THE ACUTE RESPONSE TEAM AT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL QUEENSLAND
If your child is having a mental health crisis, you can bring them to the Children's Hospital Emergency Department. You don't need a referral. The Acute Response Team can review your child's condition and provide immediate care. They can also help you and your child access the ongoing care and services they need. After you leave emergency, their team will follow up with you and your child to offer ongoing support and advice if you need it. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Crisis phone supportYou can call their crisis phone line on 07 3068 2555 for confidential support. It’s available 24 hours, 7 day a week for children, young people, their families and carers.

SUICIDE CALL BACK SERVICE
Suicide Call Back Service offers free professional 24/7 telephone counselling support to people at risk of suicide, concerned about someone at risk, bereaved by suicide and people experiencing emotional or mentalnhealth issues.

MensLine Australia offers free professional 24/7 counselling support for men with concerns about mental health, relationships, anger management, family violence (using and experiencing), parenting, stress, and suicidal thoughts. Available via online chat, phone or video counselling.
