She has a warm and nurturing style and works with clients on goals they set in a safe and caring environment. Her work with clients is based on evidence based theoretical approaches including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory and Interpersonal Therapy. She is currently training in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and aims to complete her accreditation for that in 2019.After becoming a mother herself Linda became particularly interested in working with women and men who had difficulties in their own journeys in parenting, including those who were not able to fulfil their dreams. This started Linda’s journey towards seeking additional training to help support families during this important time of their life. She has attended workshops solely focused on perinatal psychology and has been trained in the Circle of Security Parenting Program, a program that seeks to help parents understand the messages their babies are trying to communicate to them and to respond to their needs in a way that will foster a safe and nurturing relationship between parent and infant.Perinatal Areas of Interest· Pregnancy· Perinatal loss· Antenatal depression and anxiety· Birth trauma· Premature Birth· Postnatal depression and anxiety· Parent-infant attachment· Infants· Toddlers· Parenting· Adjustment issuesProfessional Memberships· Member Australian Psychological Society (MAPS)· Member APS College of Clinical Psychologists (CCLP)· Member APS Perinatal and Infant Psychology Interest Group (PIPIG)· Member Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Interest Groups· Member International Marcé Society· Member Australasian Marcé Society· Circle of Security International Parenting FacilitatorLinda works at Brilliant Minds Psychology 3 days per week Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.Contact us on 3133 0610 or email email@example.com to book an appointment.
