Friends Club - for children 4-7 years of age.
Maximum 6 children per group!

STARTS TERM 4 -  Monday's & Saturday's (Choice of 2 Groups)

Our group program is a 6-week program that helps children further develop their friendship skills.  The program is a small-based group for children to learn and also practise with each other during the group session! 

The group program is suitable for children that may just need a bit of help with their social skills.

The program is suitable for children with Asperger’s syndrome (Autism, Level 1) and also children needing just a little help with learning friendship skills.

We use a range of games to make sessions fun including Lego, games, music.

LEAPS Ahead with Super Freddy program includes:
Children work in groups to develop & practise the following skills

  • Listening Skills
  • Being a Good Sport (Losing & Winning)
  • Body Listening  
  • Personal space (Space Invader)
  • Compromise & co-operation
  • Turn taking,
  • Sharing
  • Greetings
  • How to be a good friend
  • How to ask for help
  • Joining in

 We use play-based activities to make the program developmentally appropriate.  

Starts:         Term 4, 2017
Location:     18 Dennis Rd, Springwood
Time:          To Be Confirmed (1 hour group)     
Cost:         $660 for group ($110 per session, includes child workbook)

To attend the group children need to:
1. Be 4- 7 years of age 
2. The group program is designed for children that have good verbal ability. 
3. This group is suitable for children that do not require one-on-one adult attention.

Maximum: 6 children per group 
  • Initial Group Screening & Planning Session is $220 for 50-60 minutes (Social Skill Assessment). The cost of the intake session as well as the program can be covered by your child’s HCWA (FaHCSIA) funding or rebates may be accessed through Private Health Insurance or Medicare with an eligible Mental Health Care Plan depending on the group size.
Parents: Parents will be asked to wait outside the clinic while their child participates in the group session.
