October 15: International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day

Light a candle at 7pm and keep it burning for at least 1 hour tonight “in memory of all the babies who lit up our lives for such a short time”. Pregnancy and infant loss hits those affected by it hard. It is not something we usually think will happen. In fact pregnancy and welcoming an infant into our world is something we usually expect to be one of the more joyful life experiences to have. But it is more common than we like to think.

Well this blog is for parents, carers, teachers, – & really anyone involved in helping raise teens! I’m writing this blog at night, sitting next to my daughter who at the time was working on her uni assignment. I asked her ‘How can I help you when you have exams and assessments due?” She answered “helping me have a quiet place to study, with no distractions“‘, she continued with, and… “if you see me studying, don’t come in and tell me to clean my room – it’s my last priority!” …. me ? never! haha I hope you enjoy this post.
